The Nashville Food Project
One indicator of a life in tune is the desire and ability to give back to your community, your family, and your environment. With five years of a good relationship with Mobile Loaves & Fishes in Austin, Texas, we have decided to establish our own local nonprofit in Nashville: The Nashville Food Project. Our mission to provide increased access to healthy foods in homeless and working poor communities across Davidson County remains the same. With more autonomy as a local entity, 100 percent of the money we receive for our work stays in Nashville. We are truly a local nonprofit that uses local dollars and local volunteers to address the local problems of hunger and poverty in our community. As the Nashville Food Project, we will continue to meet the immediate needs of hunger, while we work to develop longer-term solutions in our city.
Commonwealth Cares Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization created to maximize the impact of our many and varied efforts to give back to the communities we work in, live in, and visit.
Commonwealth Cares is now funded primarily through generous contributions from our broker/dealer, Commonwealth Financial Network®, but its continued success depends on the contributions and participation of members of the Commonwealth community, including advisors—like me—and home-office staff.
